Baby, It's Cold Outside!!!!

HOLY COW!!! These last couple of days, It has been bone chilling cold. Yesterday the temperature was 25 degrees at noon. 25 DEGREES in the MIDDLE of the day!! By the time I get to class in the morning I have icicles hanging off my nose and my toes are frozen like little popcicles.

Haha! Well even with this freezing temperature there is something to look forward to...

The SMALL Things...

"Treasure the SMALL things life gives you"

I was browsing through a store yesterday and I just so happened to stumble upon this quote. It was written upon a simple white sign. I read this and I realized that the small things in our life make up the big things.

I am so grateful for the SMALL things in my life:
-A warm cooked meal
-The phone calls from my mom
-Kisses from Chloe
-The ability to laugh
-The health that I have been blessed with
-Friends to brighten my day
-The joy of good news
-A place to call home
-The fun I have with my sisters and brother
-Homework so that I can apply the knowledge I gained from class
-The beautiful fall colors
-The opportunity to look forward to adventures the future has in store
-The ability to kneel and pray
-People who set examples for me
-The motivation to do better
-People who care about me
-Pictures that are worth a thousand words
-The blessings of the gospel
-Cookies just out of the oven
-Samples from Costco
-The love of a family
-Randomly running into a friend
-Excitement and Expectation

I know that there are so many things that I have not mentioned, but I'm so very grateful for them too. I truly have been blessed with so much!!!

Home Means Nevada...

"Home means Nevada
Home means the hills,
Home means the sage and the pine.
Out by the Truckee, silvery rills,
Out where the sun always shines,
Here is the land which I love the best,
Fairer than all I can see.
Deep in the heart of the golden west
Home means Nevada to me."

I got to go back to Sparks this weekend. I had so much fun and it was so great to see my family and all my friends!
Only one more month, and I'll be back again!!

Oh How I Love to Go... CAMPING!!!

You all look like happy campers to me. Happy campers you are, happy campers you have been, and, as far as I am concerned, happy campers you will always be.

Out of the Ordinary!!!

Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary.

video
I like to think that I am ordinary. Normally, I am not the type to do something completely random like this, let alone in front of my whole ward. Anyhow, we had a ward talent show (I know, this really is not a talent, but it was all we could think of) and my roommates and I had soo much fun. It was definitely daring and very different but hey, it is fun to be...

OUT OF THE ORDINARY!
